Moti Mahal is the chic London outpost of the celebrated Delhi restaurant which opened in 1959. Famed for commercialising the tandoor oven, the restaurant also reputedly creating murg makhani, which in time became the British favourite chicken tikka. This Covent Garden branch is a haven of modern Indian style, from its curved glass-fronted kitchen and gleaming copper bar to specialities such as spicy Goan wild boar curry and king prawns marinated in pickling spices.
